SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Following a career-best performance at the Zach Johnson Invitational on Monday and Tuesday,
Jack Holtz has been named the Summit League Peak Performer of the Week.
Holtz was the only golfer in the field to shoot under par in all three rounds, helping lead the Coyotes to a second-place team finish in Des Moines, Iowa. He claimed the individual title with an impressive showing of 208 (-5). He recorded nine birdies, one eagle and just five bogeys over 54 holes. Holtz started his tournament on fire with a bogey-free front nine where he shot four-under par.
Holtz was tied for second in the field in par-5 scoring at six-under par and tied for fourth on par-4s at one-under.
The South Dakota Men's Golf team returns to competition on October 5 at the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational in Wichita, Kansas.
