Fargo, N.D. — The South Dakota women's golf team made the trip to Fargo, ND for the NDSU Invitational this week and placed second out of the three teams attending. Senior
Catie Nekola also secured a tie for third place with a score of 150.
Day 1
The Coyotes finished the first day in second place with a team score of 294. They were led by
Catie Nekola who shot a 71 (-1) and was T3 on the individual leaderboard.
Morgan Rupp was sitting in sixth place at the end of day one after shooting a 72 (E).
Nekola had four birdies in the first round including three birdies across a four hole stretch on the front nine. Both Eva and
Ella Greenberg rolled in four birdies each over their first 18 holes.
Day 2
USD held their second place position through day two in Fargo with a team score of 310 in the second round.
Eva Greenberg and
Ava Schroeder both shot a 76 (+4) today, tying for the team's lowest score of the round.
Ava Schroeder rolled in five birdies in round two, including back to back birdies on holes one and two, and 16 and 17. From holes two through six,
Catie Nekola played those holes at three under with three birdies.
