Normal, Ill. – The South Dakota women's golf team spent the last two days golfing in the Redbird Invitational and walked away with a second place as a team.
Catie Nekola and
Ella Greenberg both finished in the top five out of the 92 golfers at the event.
The Yotes finished with a season low 290 (+2) in round two and a total combined score of 880 (+16) for the tournament. They fell only one stroke short of Eastern Kentucky, who took the first place title.

Round One
The coyotes finished round one in second place with a team score of 295 (+7) to open their tournament.
Ella Greenberg shot the team low for round one, ending with a 71 (-1). She rolled in five birdies over the first 18 holes
Round Two
The team came together to score a 290 (+2) in round two, the lowest on the season so far. This brought their rank up to first place to end the first day of the tournament.
Catie Nekola and
Eva Greenberg both shot a 71 (-1) in round two. Eva and
Ella Greenberg both shot four birdies each in the round.
Round Three
South Dakota earned a team score of 295 (+7) in round three.
Catie Nekola repeated her round two score with another 71 (-1) in the third round, which earned her a second place individual finish.
Ella Greenberg shot a 72 (E) to move her to third place individually. Her third round included another five birdies.
