SIOUX FALLS, S.D.– Kayleigh Didderiens has been named the Kwik Star Summit League Women's Tennis Peak Performer of the Week for singles after a perfect 2-0 weekend announced by the Summit League Tuesday morning.
Against No. 65 Wyoming on Feb. 20, Didderiens delivered a dominant performance at No. 4 singles. She defeated Eugenia Ceinos in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, securing one of South Dakota's two team points in a 5-2 decision.
Two days later, Didderiens showcased her resilience in South Dakota's 4-3 victory over Northern Iowa. After dropping the first set at No. 3 singles, she rallied for a 4-6, 6-0, 6-0 win over Yangjiaxin Li. The emphatic turnaround helped seal the Coyotes' fourth win of the season.
For the week, Didderiens went 2-0 in singles, winning four of five completed sets earning Kwik Star Peak Performer of the week for the first time this season since joining South Dakota in the fall.
