SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The South Dakota women's tennis team wrapped up its weekend at the Augustana Invite Sunday, with the Coyotes claiming two singles flight championships. 

Sofia Issakova and Keta Shavishvili each captured their respective singles flights to lead the Coyotes. 

Issakova, the No. 1 seed in her flight, opened with a win over Creighton's Philippa Roy before defeating Augustana's AnaMaria Zoric in the semifinals. Issakova finished the weekend with a championship victory over Creighton's Teresa Tran. 

Shavishvili also earned a flight title, advancing through the draw before defeating Augustana's Smilte Bakyte in the championship match. 

South Dakota also had strong showings from Nastya Soloveva, Aiya Myrzakulova, Natalia Alves De Lima, Nora Krajewski and Ava Doddridge in singles competition. 

In doubles, the Coyotes were represented by Issakova and Cassy Marra, Soloveva and Doddridge, Shavishvili and Myrzakulova, and Alves De Lima and Krajewski. 

Here is what coach Zinchenko had to say after the first fall competition of the 2026-27 season. 

"I think all in all it was a positive weekend. All of our freshmen got their first ever college win which is such an important milestone. I was also very proud overall on how we competed, Sonya and Keta were especially good and finished the tournament undefeated in singles. However, every player got at least 1 singles win and at least 1 doubles win over the weekend which makes me very proud as a coach. However, the most important thing is that this tournament has shown us exactly what we need to work on and where we should be going with our development to make improvements during this Fall season in preparation for the Spring."
