VERMILLION, S.D. — The South Dakota Coyotes women's tennis program will travel to Lawrence, Kansas in a late non-conference addition to the 2026 schedule to officially close out the non-conference slate. The match is slated for a 10:30 a.m. start on Friday, April 3.

Where: Lawerence, Kansas
The Coyotes will look to bounce back on Friday after falling 5–2 on the road to Creighton this past Wednesday. Kansas enters the matchup with a 9–9 record and is currently on a two-match losing streak, with recent losses to No. 16 Arizona State and No. 39 Arizona. First serve is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
South Dakota has played Kansas only one time in its program history with Kansas leading 1-0.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Selena Bird enters the match riding a two-match winning streak after securing victories at the No. 1 singles position against Kansas City and Creighton earlier this week, on top of her reigning Summit League Peak Performer of the Week honor this past week.
Kayleigh Didderiens, competing in the No. 2 singles spot, is also on a two-match winning streak after earning hard-fought wins against Kansas City and Creighton on Sunday and Wednesday.
