Willis picks up second Summit League weekly honor of season

04.21.2026

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The outdoor track and field season is roughly a month in, and South Dakota track and field has swept the Kwik Star Summit League Women's Field Peak Performer of the Week honor so far this season. Anna Willis earned her second honor of the outdoor season this week for her performance at the Mt. SAC Relays.

Willis, who earned her first outdoor weekly honor of the season on April 7, picked up the award again this week, clearing an outdoor personal best 14-11 to place third in the Elite Invitational section of the women's pole vault Saturday at the Mt. SAC Relays.

Willis ranks fourth in the NCAA and third in the NCAA West Region this season. She is fresh off a third place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships and placed fourth at the Outdoor Championships last spring.

The Coyotes are scheduled to compete at the Drake Relays this weekend. Willis was the top collegiate finisher at last year's Drake Relays.
