Yotes host Bison for weekend series

VERMILLION, S.D. — South Dakota will host the Bison of North Dakota State for a three game series at home over three days.  
 
These games will be streamed on the Summit League Network with live stats available.

LAST TIME OUT: ST. THOMAS SERIES    
South Dakota played St. Thomas two weekends ago before having Easter weekend off. The Yotes dropped game one of the series 9-0 but came back to win game two 6-3. They then dropped game three 1-4. 
 
Brooke Carey was named Peak Performer of the Week by the Summit League following the series for her .429 average, home run, and two runs scored. 
 
IN THE CIRCLE 
Madison Evans pitched 19.1 innings in conference play so far with 24 strikeouts. She's earned one win over SDSU and Peyton Paulsen was credited with last weekend's win over St. Thomas. 
 
AT THE PLATE
In conference play, Ella McGee leads the team with a .368 average after two series. She's had seven hits and two RBI in the six games. 
 
ABOUT NORTH DAKOTA STATE
The Bison were off last week after their series with St. Thomas was postponed due to weather. 
 
Two weeks ago, North Dakota State dropped two games against #6 Alabama to wrap up their non-conference play. They fell 8-1 and 13-0. 
 
Star Cortez lead them at the plate with a .389 average in their 34 games this season. She leads with 42 hits, 26 runs, and 21 walks. Bella Dean brings the power to the line up with 12 doubles, six home runs, and 30 RBIs.
 
Jocelyn McClary and Madison Wihlm are the go to starters in the cirlcle. McClary had a 2.61 ERA in her 69.2 innnings, and Wihlm holds a 4.58 ERA in 73.1 innings. 
 
VS NORTH DAKOTA STATE
South Dakota and NDSU have met 104 times and the Bison lead the series 70-34. 
 
Last year when the teams met in Fargo, NDSU won the series 2-1 taking 3-0 wins in the Saturday double header and losing the Sunday match up 5-2.
