VERMILLION, S.D. – The 2026 fall season rolls on for the South Dakota women's golf program as they'll compete in The Johnie Imes Invitational at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Missouri. The event will feature the Yotes, Missouri State, Texas A&M Commerce, University of Alabama-Birmingham, Lindenwood, West Georgia, McClennan, South Dakota State and the hosts Missouri.
 
The 54-hole meet will consist of 36 holes of continuous play on Monday and 18 more on Tuesday with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m (CT).
 
THE JOHNIE IMES INVITATIONAL
Monday marks the second-straight season the Coyotes visit Columbia for The Johnie Imes Invitational.
 
Last season, South Dakota finished last in the fourteen-team field, shooting a 607 in a shortened two-round event.
 
Ava Schroeder, Morgan Rupp and Ella Greenberg all competed in last year's meet in Columbia, looking to improve their scores from last season. Schroeder and Greenberg tied for 31st last year, shooting +7 while Rupp finished one stroke behind her teammates.

Six Yotes will hit the links this week, with one competing as an individual. The top four scores will count to the team total for the meet.

THE COURSE
Opened in 2007, The Club at Old Hawthorne is one of Missouri's best courses. With Zoysia Grass and T1 Bent Grass on the greens, the 6,342-yard, Par 72 course has numerous water hazards and six holes with strategically placed fairway bunkers, splitting the wide fairways.
 
THE WEATHER
Forecasts look typical for late September in the Show Me State. 
Clouds will paint the skies on Monday morning with a slight chill in the opening holes giving way to a warmer 72 degrees by the middle of the event.
 
Tuesday will be most of the same with temperatures a bit cooler in the morning. However, the sun will make an appearance by the end of the round bringing highs into the upper 60s.
