VERMILLION, S.D.— The South Dakota Coyotes men's golf team opens its 2026 fall season at the Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Riverside, Iowa, on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 8–9.

Dates: September 8–9, 2026 

Format: 54 Holes 

Par/Yardage: 72 / 7,481 yards 

Competition Dates 

• Tuesday, September 8 – Rounds 1 & 2 (9 a.m. CT start, 36 holes) 
• Wednesday, September 9 – Final Round (9 a.m. CT start) 

South Dakota will compete six golfers at the event, with the top five scores counting toward the team score each round.

THE COYOTES 

Parker Etzel enters the 2026 fall season looking to build off a strong finish to the 2025-26 campaign. Etzel finished as the runner-up for individual honors at the 2026 Summit League Championship. 

Jack Holtz also returns after making his mark during the 2025-26 season. Holtz won an individual tournament last season and is the most recent Coyote men's golfer to claim a individual tournament win.
