One of 33 Coyotes who played in all 13 games and started 11 at defensive end … earned first-team all-MVFC honors … named a second-team All-American by HERO Sports ... third-team all-American by both STATS and the Associated Press … Phil Steele fourth-team all-American … also named to HERO Sports all-sophomore team ... led the Valley and ranked fifth nationally with 19.5 tackles-for-loss, sixth most in program history … ranked second in the Valley and 18^th nationally with 9.0 sacks, also sixth most in program history … finished fifth on the team in tackles with 59 including 34 solo … led the team with 13 quarterback hurries … had seven tackles including 5.5 for loss and 3.0 sacks in the season opener at Drake (9/2), the most TFL in a game by a Coyote since the NCAA began tracking the stat back in 2000 … earned MVFC Player of the Week honors after tallying seven tackles with two sacks and another for loss in the Dakota Days win against third-ranked Youngstown State (Oct. 7) ... had a season-high 11 tackles including a sack in the FCS playoff win at Nicholls (11/25)

2016
One of eight redshirt freshmen who competed for the Coyotes … competed in the final nine games of the season along the defensive line … made his collegiate debut at North Dakota (9/17) where he registered a sack and one other tackle-for-loss … had two sacks, four tackles-for-loss, and forced a fumble in the win at Indiana State (10/15) … finished with 24 tackles, including 12 solo stops … was third on the team with 4.0 sacks and 7.0 tackles-for-loss … led the team with six quarterback hurries

Greefield was a three-time all-district linebacker at Sheldon ... during his career, he compiled more than 250 tackles, six interceptions and 11 fumble recoveries ... Greenfield was named his district’s defensive player of the year as a senior ... the Sioux City Journal twice named him to its all-defensive team ... Greenfield also competed in wrestling and track and field for the Orabs
