The University of South Dakota men's track and field team had two first place finishes at the North Dakota State Invitational held on Saturday at the Bison Sports Arena in Fargo, N.D. The
Coyotes sent a small squad to the invite.
Paul Brozik (Winner, S.D.) won the long jump (22'11) while Scott Ellwanger (Omaha, Neb.) captured the one-mile run title and his time of 4:15.53 is a provisional NCAA Division II national qualifying mark. Also for South Dakota, Jacob Christensen (Hill City, S.D.) was sixth (4:29.24) in the one-mile run, Derek Pelc (Norfolk, Neb.) finished fifth in the high jump
(6'3 ?), and Chad Rohde (Watertown, S.D) captured a third place finish in the long jump (22'2).
