Two student athletes from The University of South Dakota have been named to the 2000-01 academic All-North Central Conference Softball Team announced by the NCC office today. The team
was selected by a vote of the league's sports information directors. The select group has a combined grade point average of 3.73.
Senior leftfielder Jessica Bills of Sioux Falls, who has a 3.60 grade point average in psychology and drug abuse studies, and outfielder Leanna Chapman of Rapid City, a junior with a 3.95 grade point average in business, were among the 10 individuals selected to the team. Tiffany Davis, senior from Hawarden, Iowa, and Tiffany Hill, a sophomore from Sioux Falls, were named honorable mention academic all-NCC. Davis has a 3.184 grade point average in criminal justice while Hill has a 3.8 grade point average in accounting.
The team included six seniors and four juniors with USD, Nebraska-Omaha, and Northern Colorado each having two individuals named.
