VERMILLION, S.D. - Two members of the South Dakota Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Team received North Central Conference weekly awards, according to an announcement by the league office.
Dirk Craft, a sophomore from Palmer, Alaska, was named the NCC Men's Swimmer of the Week for his performance in a dual meet with the University of Iowa on Nov. 15. Craft was second in the 50-freestyle (21.89) and third in the 200 breaststroke (2.22.66). South Dakota lost the men's dual 195-94.
Lindsey Schafer, a junior from Mandan, N.D., was named the NCC Women's Diver of the Week. Schafer recorded a pair of third place finishes in a dual meet with the University of Iowa on Friday. Schafer, who had 231.07 points, was third in the three-meter diving competition. Schafer also finished third in the one-meter diving competition, scoring 241.87 points. The Coyote women's team lost the dual, 199-68.
