The University of South Dakota men's golf team finished 31st in the individual standings at the University of Central Missouri's Heart of America Golf Classic which concluded on Tuesday at the Keth Memorial Golf Course in Warrensburg, Mo.
Bennett (Jr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) shot a two-day total of 155 (73-82). South Dakota finished 11th in the team standings with a score of 648.
John Robbins of Washburn University won the individual title with a score of 140 (69-71). Washburn also won the team title with a final total of 573. Central Missouri finished second at 576 followed by Missouri Southern State, 597; Missouri Western State, 611; Central Missouri #2, 612; Pittsburg State, 613; Rockhurst, 619; Fort Hays State, 625; Truman State, 625; Southwest Baptist, 627; and South Dakota, 648.
Results for the other USD team members included Kyle Scanlon (Fr., Stillwater, Minn.), 53rd, 162 (84-78); Matt Campbell (So., Aberdeen, S.D.), 56th, 165 (83-82); Wally Byrne (Sr., Spearfish, S.D.), 57th, 166 (86-80); and Robert Erikson (So., Madison, S.D.), 60th, (91-82).
The South Dakota men's golf team will participate in the Augustana College Invite on March 28-29 in Sioux Falls.
