Liggins (Sr., Omaha, Neb.), who recently won a national crown in the indoor 60-meter hurdles, captured titles in both the men's 110-meter (:14.66) and the 400-meter hurdles (:55.43).

Parkes (Jr., Minard Hill, St. Ann, Jamaica) led a 1-2-3 finish for the Coyotes in the women's 100-meter dash. Parkes finished in :12.73 and was followed by Jenessa Filler (Jr., Crooks, S.D.), second, :12.85; and Andrene Miller (Jr., Manchester, Jamaica), third, :13.14. USD's Laura Krell (Jr., Hartford, S.D.) was fifth in :13.45. Filler also took second in the 200-meter dash in :26.06.

USD Women's Highlights

Rosalie Brueske (So., Woonsocket, S.D.) took second in the 400-meter dash in :59.33.

Kelsey Maloney (Jr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) was second (10:44.24) in the 3,000-meter run.

Sara Miller (Sr., Rapid City, S.D.) took fourth (:67.38) while Rachel Miller (Fr., Canton, S.D.) was fifth (:69.40) in the 400-meter hurdles.

In the triple jump, three Coyotes finished in the top-four, including Betsy Lubbers (Sr., Watertown, S.D.), who was second (36'05.0). Also in the triple jump, sophomore Tia Haines (White Lake, S.D.) grabbed third (36'00.25) with Natalie Stout (Jr., Crofton, Neb.), fourth (35'01.25).

The women's 4x400-meter relay was second (4:09.03) and the 4x100-meter relay was third (:47.89).

In the field events, Shara Thompson (Fr., Brookings, S.D.) was third (114'11) in the javelin throw. Amy Velthoff (Jr., Panama, Iowa) was fourth (135'05) and Danielle Dornbusch (So., Papillion, Neb.) was fifth (133'10) in the hammer throw. In addition, Katie Cerling (Sr., Plymouth, Minn.) captured fourth (10'04.25) in the pole vault.

Coyote Men's Highlights

Tyler Wetering (Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) took second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:40.90 as he finished just .40 behind Dana Schmidt of Minnesota State. Also finishing second for the Coyotes was senior Scott Hargens (Sioux Falls, S.D.), who had a clocking of 1:56.20 in the 800-meter dash.

The Coyote men's team was third in the 4x100-meter relay in :43.95.

Tyler Williamson (So., Estelline, S.D.) was fourth in the 400-meter dash (:50.45) while Andrew Langner (Fr., Madison, S.D.) took third in the 100-meter dash (:11.87).

Josh Jeffery (Sr., Spearfish, S.D.) was fourth in the 1,500-meter run (4:06.24). Jared Clement (Fr., LeMars, Iowa) finished fourth (:23.85) in the 200-meter dash. Matt Yaggie (Sr., Mission Hill, S.D.) captured fourth (16:13.86) in the 5,000-meter run.

Leading USD in the field events was Colte Haines (Sr., White Lake, S.D.), who took third (44'08.0) in the triple jump and fourth (21'00.50) in the long jump. Ben Walters (Jr., Lennox, S.D.) had a pair of top-five finishes in the throwing events. Walters was fourth (139'09) in the discus and fifth (45'06.50) in the shot put. Preston Scott (Jr., Parker, S.D.) was second (152'10) in the hammer throw. In the long jump, Josh Olson (Jr., Watertown, S.D.) was second (21'11.50).

South Dakota will next compete at the Northwestern Red Raider Open on Saturday, April 12 in Orange City, Iowa.
