EUGENE, Ore. – Sara Reifenrath wrapped up her career as a South Dakota Coyote Friday night, running in the 400-meters at the United States Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

Reifenrath, a 23-time Summit League Champion who holds nine school records including both the indoor and outdoor 200 and 400 meter records, competed in the 400-meters one more time as a Coyote.

She placed 19th in the national championship first round, running 53.20. Reifenrath was one of four athletes in the race representing their school.

The Yotes still have two athletes with ties to the university to compete this weekend. Emily Grove, a pole vault alum, will compete. Also, assistant coach Maggie Ewen will compete in the shot put.
