Bodra Represents Brazil in Pan American University Championships

Vermillion, S.D. - The University of South Dakota's Ricardo Andreotti Bodra has been chosen to be a member of the Brazilian basketball team at the 2010 Pan American University Championships. The inaugural six-team event will be played in Salvador, Brazil, from August 9-14.

A forward, Bodra is one of 12 members of the Brazilian squad that will open the tournament tonight against Paraguay. Each squad will played three games using FIBA rules with a semifinal on Aug. 13 and the final on Aug. 14. Other countries represented include the USA (University of South Florida), Columbia, Chile and Uruguay.

Bodra spent the last two seasons at Northwest College in Powell, Wyo., but signed a National Letter of Intent in April to play for the Coyotes during 2010-11. He is a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and went to high school at Cole'gio Dante Alighieri.
