VERMILLION, S.D. – Former South Dakota men's basketball player,
Kaleb Stewart, has signed his first professional contract with Sloga Kraljevo in Serbia.
Sloga Kraljevo is a member of the Basketball League of Serbia and is located in Kraljevo, Serbia. The League is split into two leagues a First and Second League, with the top eight teams of the First League getting promoted to the Super League with five other Serbians teams for the ABA League.
Stewart, a native of Houston, Texas, graduated this past spring after his two-year career at South Dakota. Stewart was named to the Summit League All-Newcomer team and an All-Summit League Honorable Mention in his junior season in 2023-24. He led the Yotes at 15.6 points per game (7
th in the Summit) and scored a career-high of 44 points at Denver (Jan. 25, 2024), which was the fourth-most points scored in a single-game in program history.
Stewart averaged 9.8 points per game, had 29 steals, 51 rebounds and 46 assists in his senior season and scored a season-best 26 points at Iowa and at Utah Tech. Stewart led the team with 54 3-pointers this past season.
