Brennan Schmidt, crossed the finish line in fourth as the South Dakota track and field teams wrapped up two days of competition at the SDSU Classic.

Alex Williams on the fourth-place relay. The relay was two seconds out of first, clocking 3 minutes, 17.89 seconds.
Sophomore
Erin Wetzstein finished eighth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:47.24. She led sophomore
Lindsay Joyce and freshman
Megan Billington to 11th and 12th places, respectively.
Sophomore
Ethan Fenchel threw 54 feet in the weight throw for eighth place.
A pair of freshman throwers placed in the top-15 of the shot put.
Mary Wester took 10th with a throw of 41-8 ¾ and
Jacy Embray finished 15th after throwing 40-2 ¼.
Williams also ran the open 400 meters in addition to the relay. He finished 11th in 49.07.
The Coyotes travel to Lincoln, Neb., for the Nebraska Tune-Up on Friday.
