2016 Wayne State Classic Results

WAYNE, Neb.—South Dakota senior Kyle McKelvey and junior Danielle Waldner each finished runner-up in the hammer throw at the Wildcat Outdoor Classic at the Leroy Simpson Track.
 
Waldner notched a personal best and the second-best mark in program history at 178 feet, 4 inches. Waldner was also the top collegiate competing. Senior Kayla Johnson placed fifth with a throw of 155-6.
 
McKelvey launched the hammer 189-10 for a personal best as well, with the third-best throw in program history. Sophomore Ethan Fenchel took sixth with a personal best 161-11, a mark which ranks eighth in program record books.
 
The Coyotes travel to Texas for the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays and Texas State Bobcat Invitational from March 31 to April 2.
