2016 Sioux City Relays Day 1 Results
SIOUX CITY, Iowa—South Dakota junior
Danielle Waldner launched the hammer a school record 190 feet, four inches to finish as the top collegiate Friday at the Sioux City Relays at Olsen Stadium.
Waldner's hammer throw was 10 feet further than the previous school record of 180-5 ¾ held by alumna Jasmine Mosley since 2012. Also competing in the event, senior
Kayla Johnson took eighth in 158-07. Competing unattached, Aubrey Baxter set a new Sioux City Relays record to win in 224-02.

Kyle McKelvey captured his third straight Sioux City Relays shot put title with a SCR record throw of 60-05. Junior
Dustin Valind finished runner-up to McKelvey with a throw of 51-04 ½.
Three-time Olympian and throws coach
A.G. Kruger captured the men's hammer throw in 240-03. Kruger holds the Sioux City Relays record of 253-0, a mark he set in 2007. The Coyote throws crew captured four of the top-five spots in the hammer throw. McKelvey placed third in 177-00, freshman
Liam Hennessy took fourth in 161-04 and sophomore
Ethan Fenchel was fifth in 158-05.

Lindsay Joyce raced to a win in the 800 meters in her hometown. Joyce, a Bishop Heelan graduate, recorded a four second personal best of 2:16.34. Senior
Kati Nelson took fifth with a season best 2:19.44.

Meghan Dennis sent the discus flying 146-04 to win the event. Classmate
Riley Johnson took third with a mark of 141-01. Freshman

Tyler Frank tied his career outdoor best of 6-9 to win the high jump by over two inches.

Alanisse Williams clocked a personal best 1:03.78 in the 400 hurdles. Classmate
Haley Bruggeman took third in 1:05.19.

Alex Borchers captured the men's 400 hurdles in 54.70 seconds. Sophomore
Tomas Kamenik was runner-up, close behind in 54.94.

Ravan Kott finished runner-up and was the top collegiate in the 200 meters with a clocking of 25.94 seconds.

Brice Cowman finished runner-up in the 10,000 meters with a time of 33:16.88. Freshman
Zach Welch took fifth in 34:16.33 and sophomore
Matthew Schilmoeller was sixth in 34:50.93.

Brett Prenger placed third in the 400 meters in 49.68.

Maddie Aune took fifth in the pole vault, clearing 11-5 ¼.

Megan Glisar, competing unattached, captured the high jump title after clearing 5-7 ¾.
