EUGENE, Ore.—South Dakota senior hurdler
Teivaskie Lewin wrapped up his collegiate career Wednesday at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field.
Lewin crossed the finish line in 14.00 seconds for 21st place. The top three athletes from the three heats along with the next two fastest times advanced to Friday's final.
The Montego Bay, Jamaica, native holds South Dakota program records for the 60 hurdles (7.77), 110 hurdles (13.59) and 4x100 relay (40.15). Lewin earned 15 all-Summit League honors in his Coyote career, first team All-America in 2015 for the 60 hurdles and adds honorable mention All-America honors in the 110 hurdles this spring.
Lewin plans to compete at the Jamaican Olympic Trials held in Kingston, Jamaica, June 30-July 3.
