2017 Tyson Invitational Meet Results
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.–South Dakota junior
Emily Brigham cleared her final three bars on the first attempt to win the women's collegiate pole vault at the Tyson Invitational on Randal Tyson Track on Saturday afternoon.
Brigham made an indoor personal best 13 feet, 7 ¼ inches, on her first jump to break a six-way tie at the height. Brigham ties for 15th in the nation this season. The Coyotes had three other vaulters in the event. Senior
Madison Mills placed eighth, freshman
Makiah Hunt took ninth and senior
Hunter Wilkes was 11th.
Competing unattached in the invitational section of the pole vault,
Emily Grove tied her season-best jump of 14-5 ¼ to finish third. Arkansas twins Victoria and Alexis Weeks finished 1-2 with a height of 14-7 ¼.
Senior
Tyler Frank placed eighth in the high jump after clearing 6-8 ¼ on his second attempt. Frank and freshman
Zack Anderson both cleared season-bests of 7-0 ¼ at the Dakota Realty Alumni Meet last weekend.
Junior
Gawain Williams clocked 22.23 seconds to finish 35th in the 200 meters.
South Dakota returns to the DakotaDome at 5 p.m. Friday for the USD Last Chance Meet.
