PREVIEW: South Dakota adds home meet, heads to Sioux City this weekend

04.07.2026

South Dakota track and field has a busy week planned for this week, hosting a midweek competition at the Lillibridge Track Complex and heading down Interstate 29 for the Sioux City Relays this weekend.

SCHEDULE CHANGES
South Dakota canceled the USD Early Bird last weekend due to poor weather conditions, and sent a group of high jumpers and pole vaulters to the Husker Spring Kickoff instead.

The changes continued into this week, as South Dakota will now host a six-team meet, the USD Snooze Button Classic, Wednesday afternoon. Field events to begin at 2:30 with track events starting at 3.

South Dakota is also hosting a portion of the Sioux City Relays this weekend. The pole vaulters and multi-event athletes will compete in Vermillion.

HOW TO FOLLOW ALONG
Results for both meets will be available on Dakota Timing. Results for the USD Snooze Button Classic can be found here, and the Sioux City Relays results found here.
