Ethan Fenchel led Coyote throwers with a seventh-place finish at the Beach Invitational on Friday at Jack Rose Track.
Fenchel placed seventh in the hammer throw with a mark of 199 feet, 4 inches. Fenchel's best of 199-9 came last weekend at the USD vs. SDSU Dual in Vermillion, which ranks him third in the Summit League this spring. He is also sitting 29th in the NCAA West Region. Classmate
Jacob Barents took 24th in the event with a throw of 179-9.
Senior
Danielle Waldner took 22nd in the hammer throw after sending the implement 188-0. She holds the school record in the event with a mark of 190-4.
In the javelin throw, seniors
Amelia Miller and
Elizabeth Szymonski finished 19th and 32nd, respectively.
The Coyotes return to the Beach Invitational at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday.
