Jason Mahowald is pleased to announce the addition of 30 athletes to the 2018-19 roster. A brief description of each athlete follows:

Sydney Fulton | Diving | Denver, Colorado
The Bruins diver is a two-time USA Diving National Qualifier, six-time AAU Diving National Qualifier and a fifth-place finisher in synchronized diving at the AAU Diving Nationals. Fulton holds the Cherry Creek High School record for six dive and has finished in the top 10 at the Colorado State Championships. She is a part of Spanish Honor Society, received an academic letter and plans to pursue a degree in International Studies at USD.

Isabel Fairbanks | IM/Breast | Highland, Michigan
Fairbanks joins the Coyotes as a four-time Michigan State qualifier and three-time state finalist. As an Eagle, she holds the Highland High School record in both individual and relay events. During her time with Highland, she is a three-time all-conference honoree, three-time all-county honoree, and three-time division champion in the breaststroke. Fairbanks earned the title of Oakland County Champion in the 100-yard breaststroke (2015) and has multiple top-eight finishes at both short and long course. Fairbanks is planning on studying biology pre-med at USD.

Jake Leichner | Free/Breast | Highlands Ranch, Colorado
His sophomore year, Leichner helped capture the title of Continental League Champion for 200-yard individual medley, 400-yard freestyle relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay. He is also a two-time second-team All-Continental member. Leichner earned All-Continental League for the 200-yard individual medley, 200 freestyle relay and the 100-yard freestyle. He is planning to study business at USD.

Hannah Aitkin | Distance Free | Shoreview, Minnesota
A five-time letter winner and all-conference honoree,
Hannah Aitkin hails from Shoreview. She is a five-time state qualifier and has been a state finalist the last three years. Aitkin is also a national team member on her club team, the North Suburban Aquatic Club. She is an academic letter winner, a member of National Honor Society and plans to study nursing at USD.

Cassie Ketterling | IM | Oak Creek, Wisconsin
The Oak Creek native is a state champion in the 200-yard individual medley long course (2015, 2016) and the 400-yard individual medley short and long course (2017). Ketterling is a three-time state qualifier and has finished in the top-eight in each of her individual events in long and short course at state while earning an honorable mention all-state title. Ketterling was on the honor roll at Oak Creek High School and plans to study medical biology and psychology at USD.

Tate Leverenz | Sprint/Breaststroke | Lakeville, Minnesota
Leverenz comes to USD as an all-state and all-conference honoree. The Lakeville native is part of the 200-yard medley relay team that broke the Lakeville South High School record. For club, he was a part of the Riptide swim team and was a Speedo sectional qualifier. Leverenz plans to study communications at USD.

Madilyn Sindelar | Fly/Back | Rocklin, California
Sindelar joins the Coyotes as a three-time all-conference honoree. She holds three of Whitney High School records in the 200-yard medley relay, 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard freestyle relay. Sindelar was named the Top Aquatic Athlete of the year and qualified for the California Interscholastic Federation state meet last year. Sindelar plans on studying journalism while at USD.

Kylie Miller | Fly/IM | Overland Park, Kansas
As a Huskie, Miller has earned four individual placings at state including a third-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (2017) and has four individual top-three finishes at Eastern Kansas League. She earned a spot as a second team all-state member her freshman year and is a two-year varsity letter recipient. Miller is a part of Math Honor Society at Blue Valley and plans on studying business while at USD.

Anthony Mudek | Diving | Oakdale, Minnesota
Mudek is a two-time Minnesota Section 4AA Conference Dive Champion (2016, 2017), two-time state qualifier in diving (2016, 2017) and a state qualifier in a swimming relay (2017). His junior year he captured the Section 4AA Diver of the Meet and all-conference. While at USD, Mudek plans to major in nursing.

Maren Iverson | Sprint/Fly | Lake Elmo, Minnesota
At Tartan Senior High, Iverson is a two-time all-conference honoree and a two-time section finalist. Academically, she is a member of National Honor Society, three-time academic honor roll and an academic letter winner. Iverson plans to major in business during her time as a Coyote.

Kristen Quigley | Fly/Free/IM | Guelph, Ontario
Quigley has earned nine medals at the 2017 North American Indigenous Games and has participated in Provincial, Eastern Canadian and Junior National level competition. She is on the academic honor roll, has high achievements in French and English and plans to study medical biology at USD.

Charlie Bean | Sprint Free | Waverly, Minnesota
As a Bison, Bean holds a section record in the 50- and the 100-yard freestyle while also being a two-time section champion in both events. His times in the freestyle have put him in consideration for All-American for the 100-yard freestyle and is currently a four-time all-conference honoree. In club, he is a two-time state champion in the 50-yard freestyle and runner-up in the 100-yard freestyle. At NASA junior nationals, he finished fifth in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle. Bean is a four-year honor roll student and plans to study conservation and biodiversity while at USD.

Jordyn Schnell | Sprint | Saint Michael, Minnesota
At the Minnesota Swimming Senior Championships, Schnell received a sixth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle and seventh in the 100-yard freestyle. During her career at St. Michael-Albertville High School, she has accumulated best times in the 50-yard freestyle (24.20) and the 100-yard freestyle (53.19).

Lucie Anderson | Back | Mitchell, South Dakota
Hailing from Mitchell, Anderson is a four-year varsity letter recipient and voted most improved as a Kernel. In club, she is a sectionals and futures qualifier. Anderson is a member of National Honor Society and plans on pursuing a degree in nursing while at USD.

Delaney Kottke | Fly/Free |Elkhorn, Nebraska
During her time as a Crusader, Kottke was a part of the state championship team (2015) and on the state runner-up team (2016, 2017). She is an Individual Metro Champion in the 50-yard freestyle, a three-year state finalist and an All-American in the 200-yard freestyle relay. As a member of the Greater Omaha Aquatics Leopard Sharks, she is a three-time second-team Midwestern Academic member and a Midwestern top eight. Kottke was on the Principal's Honors List and plans to study business and law at USD.

Brady Torborg | Sprint | Lakeville Minnesota
This season with Lakeville South High School, Torborg placed fifth in the 100-yard backstroke and eighth in the 100-yard butterfly at the Minnesota Boys Class AA State Championships. He was also a member of the 200-yard medley relay that placed fifth and the 400-yard freestyle relay that placed eighth. Torborg currently has best times in the 50-yard freestyle (20.94), 100-yard freestyle (46.64), 100-yard backstroke (50.88) and the 100-yard butterfly (50.78).

Maddie Lavin | IM/Distance/Fly | Vermillion, South Dakota
Lavin comes to USD with a number state swimming championships titles along with a state record holder. During her time in club, she was voted most valuable swimmer and is a club record holder. Lavin is the vice president of the Vermillion National Honor Society, class president, and plans on pursing a degree in biology while at USD.

Jacque Newhouse | Middle Distance | Minnetonka, Minnesota
The Minnetonka native is a Minnesota state qualifier and a three-time varsity letter winner. She holds an eighth-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle at True Team State (2016) and a second-place finish at the Minnesota State High School League girl's 2AA varsity section meet. Newhouse plans on majoring in psychology at USD.

Shane Sackett | Sprint Free | Madison, Wisconsin
Sackett comes from Monona Grove High School and the Madison Aquatic Club. At the 2018 Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Division 2 State Championships, he claimed runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle and third place in the 100-yard freestyle. He brings best times of 21.67 in the 50-yard freestyle and 47.59 in the 100-yard freestyle.

Isabelle Davenport | Breaststroke | Arvada, Colorado
During her time as a Mustang, Davenport is a three-time first-team all-conference honoree, three-time second-team all-conference and three-time letter winner. Davenport received an academic letter freshman and sophomore year of high school and plans on studying law at USD.

Kyle Sorbe | Free/Back | Brookings, South Dakota
During his high school career, Sorbe has accumulated best times in the 200-yard freestyle (1:46.18), 100-yard freestyle (48.25), 50-yard free (21.96) and 200-yard backstroke (1:55.53).

Meghan Atwell | Sprint Free | Englewood, Colorado
Hailing from Englewood, Colorado, Atwell is an All-American, a four-time state qualifier and a four-time varsity letter winner. The past three years she has placed in the top ten in the 50-yard freestyle. During her time at South Dakota, Atwell plans to pursue a nursing degree.

Javi Quiñones | Sprint Free/Breast | Papillion, Nebraska
Quiñones is an eight-time Nebraska state championship finalist. He competes with the Greater Omaha Aquatics Leopard Sharks and helped the team earn a Region VIII third-place finish, a Midwestern swimming second place team finish and is a three-time gold medalist in the Midwestern. Quiñones is a National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association Silver Academic Award recipient and is planning on majoring in exercise science at USD.

Naomi Bingham | Diving | Mukilteo, Washington
Bingham has helped the Knights to four consecutive district titles and a fourth-place finish at the 2017 state meet. She holds the Kamiak High School record for 11 dives and has been named to the All-Wesco 4A First Team three years in a row. Bingham is a 2018 Academic All-American qualifier and plans on majoring in biology at USD.

William Johnston | Diving | Omaha, Nebraska
Johnston hails from Omaha, Nebraska, and is a four-time Nebraska School Activities Association state diving qualifier. He is a three-year diving captain and a four-year varsity diving letter winner. Outside of the pool, Johnston has received academic honors the last four years.

Stephen Johnson | Free | Lawrence, Kansas
Johnson is a 6A Kansas State champion in both the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle and currently holds the Lawrence High School records in the 200-yard individual medley, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle. He was named to the first team all-state team his junior and senior year while being named first team all-league all four years of his high school career. In club competition, Johnson finished in the top 16 at Region Eight sectionals in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle. He is a member of National Honor Society and plans on pursuing a degree in nursing.

Henry Simpson | Back/Sprint Free | Mankato, Minnesota
Simpson is an All-State honoree hailing from Mankato where he competed on the Mankato West swim team and the Mantas Swim Club team. His senior year as a Scarlet, Simpson placed second in the 100-yard freestyle and sixth in the 100-yard backstroke at the Minnesota State High School League Class A state meet. He is currently the Mankato West High School record holder in the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle. Simpson was also a part of the 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard medley relay that broke school records.

Griffin Wolner | Free/Fly | Winona, Minnesota
Wolner, hailing from Winona, is a five-time Big 9 All-Conference recipient as well as a three-time All-State honoree. He is a three-time individual state champion, has two relay state championship titles and is a six-time letter winner. Wolner holds three individual school records in the 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly and the 500-yard freestyle. He is also a member of three relays that broke Winona Winhawk High School records.

Jacob Won | Free/Fly | Katy, Texas
From Katy, Texas, Won has competed at a number of the nations' top meets such as Speedo Sectionals and Junior Nationals. Competing with the Obra D. Tompkins High School swim team, Won placed 13
th in the 200-yard freestyle and 11
th in the 500-yard freestyle at the Texas 6A State Championships. He was also a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that placed 18
th and the 400-yard freestyle relay team that placed 17
th at the state meet. Â

Caden DeLay | Breast | Columbia, Missouri
During his time at Platte County High School, DeLay became the first all-state swimmer for the Pirates and was the first in program history to qualify for a final at the Missouri State Swimming and Diving Championship. He finished fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke and sixth in the 50-yard freestyle at the MSHSAA Championship. DeLay brings the Coyotes best times in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.13) and in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:12.32).
