Sarah Schank and
Sabrina Sabadeanu were named Summit League athletes of the week the league announced on Tuesday.
Wilkerson, a freshman, earns his third Summit League men's diver of the week honor after setting new season-highs on the one-meter and three-meter events in a dual with Western Illinois and Eastern Illinois. He posted victories in both events on both days of the two-day meet.
The Powell, Wyoming, native moved to the top of the Summit League charts in both diving events with his efforts on the second day of the two-day meet. He scored 300.90 points in the one-meter event and 333.45 points in the three-meter event. Both point totals represent NCAA Zone Diving Qualifying marks and are both ranked second all-time in USD school history.
Schank, a senior, posted a season-high in the three-meter event with a score of 297.60 to earn Summit League women's diver of the week honors for the seventh time in her career. The score is the second-best mark in the Summit League this season for the Cottage Grove, Minnesota, native who also scored 254.7 points during the one-meter competition.
Schank's three-meter total is a NCAA Zone Diving Qualifying mark and it's the third-best point total in USD school history.
Sabadeanu, a junior, is honored as the Summit League women's swimmer of the week for the second time this season and fourth time in her career. She enjoyed a strong two-day meet that saw her accumulate three individual wins along with a third-place individual finish and helping the Coyotes win three relays.
Sabadeanu, a Commerce City, Colorado, native swam to victory in the 200 IM, 200 back and 50 back and added a third in the 50 free. Meanwhile, she also swam relay legs in the 400 medley, 200 medley and 200 free relays that all posted wins.
