Sabrina Sabadeanu and junior
Haley Pederson have been named Summit League female swimmer and diver of the week, respectively, the league announced on Tuesday.
Sabadeanu won three individual events and Pederson swept the two diving events as the Coyotes opened the women's swimming and diving season with a dual against Minnesota State.
Sabadeanu, a native of Commerce City, Colorado, swam to victories in the 100 back (58.86), 200 back (2:06.89) and the 200 IM (2:10.70). She also swam on a runner-up 200 medley relay unit.
Pederson, a West Fargo, North Dakota, native, posted victories in the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions. She tallied 249.55 points on the one-meter board and 254.40 points on the three-meter board.
Sabadeanu is honored for the sixth time in her career while Pederson picked up her second career award.
The Coyotes travel to Lawrence, Kansas this weekend to take part in the Kansas Tri-Duals on Friday and Saturday.
