KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The South Dakota women's golf team completed round two of the Kiawah Island Spring Classic Monday in the 33
rd position. The event is the largest Division I tournament in the nation with 49 teams and 254 players in the field.

The Coyotes competed on Osprey Point Golf Course Monday led by junior
Katie Bartlett with a 3-over-par 75 in the round. She is tied for 85
th with 152 strokes over two rounds. Freshman
Laerke Jensen is one stroke behind Bartlett with 153 and is tied for the 101
st position. She fired a 78 in the second round.

Senior
Lexi Petersen is tied for 140
th after she shot one-stroke better in the second round with 78 shots. She has tallied 157 strokes over the two rounds.

Freshmen
Megan Munneke and
Emma Sabbagh wrap up the Coyotes scorers in 171
st and 216
th positions, respectively. Munneke owns 160 shots while Sabbagh has 168 shots over the first two days of action.

The Coyotes have been consistent over the two days with 311 strokes in each round, totaling 622 shots for 33
rd position. They are one spot better than fellow Summit League foe Omaha who has 624 shots.

North Florida is the team leader with 577 strokes. Ramya Meenakshisundaram of South Florida and Amy Wooten of Western Carolina are tied atop the leaderboard with 139 strokes at 5-under-par.

The tournament is being played over two courses at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, Osprey Point and Oak Point. The Coyotes will return to Oak Point for Tuesday's final round, which is scheduled to get underway at 7:45 a.m. (CST). Both courses are playing to a par 72 with Osprey Point shooting 5,964 yards and Oak Point shooting 5,941 yards.
