WEST POINT, Miss. – The South Dakota men's golf team concluded play at the Old Waverly Collegiate Tuesday with sophomore
Tate Arends marking the top Coyote finish with 224 strokes. As a team, USD totaled 899 shots to place 14
th.

Mississippi State hosted the event at Old Waverly Golf Club with the course playing 7,000 yards and to a par 72.

Arends finished 8-over-par after rounds of 71-74-79 to place in a tie for 54
th. Senior
Tommy Vining was one shot behind with 225 shots. He placed in a tie for 59
th.

Junior
Matt Tolan totaled 226 shots to tie for 64
th while sophomore
Jacob Michel tied for 72
nd with 229 strokes. Junior
Scott Fudenberg tallied his best round of the event with a 2-over-par 74 in Tuesday's final round.

Louisiana Monroe claimed the team title with 846 shots. South Dakota tallied rounds of 295-294-310 for its 899 shots. Marcus Byrd of Middle Tennessee State claimed individual medalist honors with his 13-under-par 203.

South Dakota competes at the Summit League Championship in Newton, Kansas, beginning April 28.
