Coyote Summer Track & Field Camps

T&F: Summer Camps

VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota track and field will host three camps in July, spanning across several event groups including distance running, throwing, jumping, sprinting and hurdling.
 
The beginner's track and field camp is designed for athletes entering grades 6-12 with less than two years of experience or those interested in trying out a new event. The beginner's camp will be held July 11 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with groups broken down by event. The cost is $60 for a single session (morning or afternoon) or $100 for the full day. The advanced track and field camp is designed for athletes entering grades 6-12 with more than two years of experience in their event. The advanced camp will be held July 12 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with groups broken down by event. The cost is $60 for a single session (morning or afternoon) or $100 for the full day. An overnight distance camp for runners entering grades 6-12 will be held July 11-12. Campers will get the opportunity to stay in the USD campus dorm rooms, have meals provided and train with five-time Summit League Cross Country Coach of the Year Dan Fitzsimmons. The cost for the overnight distance camp is $250 with preregistration required by July 8th. Discounted pricing is available for schools with more than five athletes attending.
