TEMPE, Ariz.—Six South Dakota Coyote tennis athletes have been named Scholar Athletes and the team collectively was named an All-Academic team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or above on a 4.0 scale. All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
South Dakota's
Habiba Aly, Laura Janickova, Natka Knoskova,
Jana Lazarevic,
Luana Stanciu and
Emma Tranberg are the six athletes to earn ITA Scholar Athlete accolades.
To earn ITA Scholar Athlete honors, a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade-point average above 3.50 for the current academic year and have been enrolled at their present institution for at least two semesters.
