Swimming and diving releases 2019-20 schedule

S/D: Schedule

VERMILLION, S.D. — South Dakota head swimming and diving coach Jason Mahowald is pleased to announce the 2019-20 schedule featuring four meets inside the Midco® Aquatic Center in Sioux Falls and a trips to the Big 12's Kansas and Iowa State.
 
"We are really excited for this year's schedule," said Mahowald. "We will definitely be challenged again with both Kansas and Iowa State on our schedule. We can't wait to get rolling and see how we can improve on our record setting season last year!"
 
Before their appearance at the Summit League Championships Feb. 19-22, the Coyotes will host the USD Quad-Duals Nov. 1-2 while also competing in the Sioux Falls Invitational (Nov. 21-23) and the Jackrabbit Invitational (Feb. 7-8) inside the Midco® Aquatic Center.
 
The DakotaDome will host three meets this season including the season opening alumni meet (Sept. 21), the Red vs. White meet (Sept. 28), and a dual with Iowa Central Community College (Jan. 18).
 
The first half of the season includes road trips to Minnesota State (Oct. 4), the Kansas Tri-Duals (Oct. 11-12), the Fargo Tri-Duals (Oct. 18-19) and women's meets at Iowa State (Nov. 8) and Northern Iowa (Nov. 9).
 
To prepare for the second part of the season, the Coyotes head to San Juan, Puerto Rico, for a training trip. Road duals in the first part of 2020 include a trip to Omaha (Jan. 17) and South Dakota State (Jan. 25).
 
The postseason includes the NCAA Zone Diving Championships in Dallas, Texas, March 9-11. The women's NCAA Championships are March 18-21 in Athens, Georgia, while the men's NCAA Championships are March 25-28 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
