VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota men's golf head coach John Vining is pleased to announce the 2019-20 schedule featuring a match-play event and a return to seven tournaments from last season.
 
For the first time since the 2011-12 season, the Coyotes will compete in a match-play event, traveling to North Dakota State on Sept. 9. The field will consist of only Summit League schools with Omaha and North Dakota joining the Coyotes and Bison.
  
The first stroke-play event is a return to the Ram Masters Invitational hosted by Colorado State Sept. 16-17. The Coyotes placed third in a field of 17 teams last season led by then-sophomore Tate Arends.
 
New to the 2019-20 schedule, but a return from the 2016-17 season, South Dakota competes at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate hosted by Arkansas State Oct. 14-15.
 
The Red and White close the fall portion of the season at the Pacific Visit Stockton Invitational (Oct. 21-23) for the third-straight year. However, the 2019 iteration moves to The Reserve at Spanos Park, a 2019 NCAA Regional golf course.
 
The spring slate gets underway Feb. 14-16 at the UNC Greensboro Martin Downs Collegiate for the second-straight season followed by a trip to the Grand Canyon Invitational March 13-14. The Coyotes last competed at Grand Canyon's event in 2016-17. 
 
South Dakota closes the regular season at the Missouri Tiger Invitational for the fourth-straight year. The Coyotes have seen success at the event including Scott Fudenberg shooting all three rounds under par last season.
 
South Dakota is also scheduled to compete at the Zach Johnson Invitational (Sept. 30-Oct. 1), Loyola (MD) Intercollegiate (Feb. 22-24) and Twin Oaks Intercollegiate (March 23-24).
 
The Summit League Championship is slated for May 3-5 at Sand Creek Station Golf Club in Newton, Kansas.
