FLOSSMOOR, Ill. – South Dakota women's golf team is just two shots out of the lead after two rounds of the Loyola Fall Invitational played Monday at Flossmoor Country Club.
The Coyotes opened the two-day tournament with a 313 before trimming that down to 306 over the second 18 holes leaving them at 619 and just two shots behind leader Drake.
Emma Sabbagh, a sophomore, is pacing South Dakota after the opening day with rounds of 74 and 76 for 150 and sits in second place overall, just four shots out of the lead
Julia Hall, a redshirt sophomore, is just one shot behind Sabbagh and in third overall after firing round of 78 and 73 for 151.
Laerke Jensen (81-77-156),
Megan Munneke (80-80-160) and
Katie Bartlett (85-81-166) rounded out the counting scores for the Coyotes.
Playing as individuals for South Dakota are
Jalea Culliver, who shots rounds of 83 and 88 for 171 and
Molly Fossen, who had rounds of 90 and 88 for 176.
The final round begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
