Men's Golf Signs Ben Daane

VERMILLION, S.D. -- South Dakota men's golf head coach John Vining is pleased to announce the addition of Ben Daane to the 2019-20 recruiting class.

Daane comes to Vermillion after earning runner-up honors this past fall in the 2019 SDHSAA state golf championships. During his junior season, Daane placed fourth at the state tournament while his team earned runner-up honors.

The Rapid City, South Dakota, native earned 2019 Stevens High School Golfer of the Year honors, 2018 team MVP honors and was a 2019 South Dakota Golfer of the Year nominee. Daane had a scoring average of 73 during the 2018 high school tournament and a 74 during the 2019 high school tournament.

South Dakota opens its season on Feb. 14 in Palm City, Florida, at the UNC Greensboro Martin Downs Collegiate.
