COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The South Dakota men's and women's swimming and diving teams received Scholar All-America recognition by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) for the 2019 fall semester.
For the fall term, there were a record 762 programs representing 480 institutions with the Scholar All-America honor. To be selected, a team must have a minimum 3.00 grade point average on a 4.0 scale as defined by the institution. The team grade point average includes all eligible student-athletes.
The South Dakota women have earned Scholar All-America status for the 11
th consecutive semester after receiving a 3.31 GPA. They were one of three teams from the Summit League to receive the honor. The Coyote men turned in a 3.06 GPA, making them one of three Summit League teams to earn Scholar All-America status. This is the fifth consecutive semester the men have earned accolades.
