Junior triathlete Sammy Whitting of Brisbane, Australia, is featured this week on "Drop A Pin", a show hosted by senior tennis player Habiba Aly in which she explores the experiences of international student-athletes at University of South Dakota.
 
In this episode, Aly learns just how big triathlon is in Australia, how young Whitting was when she got started in the sport, and how her interest in medical biology led her to USD. Whitting also discusses how being the first Australian to come to the United States for triathlon has served as an example for other Aussie's, and missing her first collegiate race after qualifying for the Triathlon World Championships.
