TEMPE, Ariz. – South Dakota triathlon took on a national field Saturday afternoon, placing fifth as a team at the Women's Collegiate Triathlon Championships in Tempe, Arizona.
 
South Dakota was paced by a pair of top 15 finishes. Chelsea Webber led the Yotes with a 12^th place finish and a time of 1:04.02. Alexa Magallon placed 15^th in 1:04.11. Webber totaled 179 points for USD in the team standings and Magallon 176 points.

In the team standings, USD placed fifth overall. Arizona and Arizona State took the top two spots, followed by TCU and Queens. The fifth-place finish is USD's best placing at the National race since 2022 (4^th).
