VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota has added two more games to their non-conference slate in Nebraska and Drake in December.
The Coyotes will travel to Lincoln, Nebraska, to face the Huskers on Dec. 1 at Pinnacle Bank Arena. USD will then host the Drake Bulldogs in their home opener on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m.
The Huskers, coming off a 7-25 season, are looking to turn the tide in Fred Hoiberg's second season at the helm. Nebraska welcomes in a slew of new players including former Western Illinois guard, Kobe Webster.
The Drake Bulldogs are coming off a 2019-20 season which saw them make it to the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament semifinals. The Bulldogs finished 20-14 last season and are picked to finish seventh in the MVC this season. Drake returns five of the team's top seven scorers from a season ago.
This marks the 38th meeting between the Coyotes and the Huskers while it marks the 15th matchup all-time against the Bulldogs and the Coyotes.
These two non-conference games are in addition to the Little Apple Classic Nov. 25 and 27 and the Dakota Showcase Dec. 10-12.
