Coyotes in Fourth Place After Day Two

MGOLF: Day 2 Results

PALM CITY, Fla. -- Senior Matt Tolan shot a low round of 68 for the Coyotes on Saturday to help South Dakota move up two spots to fourth place at the UNGC Martin Downs Collegiate. 

Tolan's second-round 68 tied his lowest of the season and moved him into a tie for 16th place. UNC Greensboro continues to sit atop the team leaderboard with a four-stroke lead over James Madison while UNCG's Jonathan Brightwell has a one-stroke lead over fellow team Zack Swanson in the player leaderboard.
  
Just ahead of Tolan (72-68 - 140) is Ben Hicks, who followed his season-best 67 on Friday with a 71 on Saturday for a score of 138 after two rounds. Hicks is tied for ninth place with one round remaining.

Tate Arends shot a 73 on the second day following a 69 on the first day to total a 142 to sit tied for 18th. Justin Kolb (71-72 - 143) is right behind Arends tied for 22nd place while Scott Fudenberg (72-81 - 153) is tied for 70th place. 

Hunter Paugh competed as an individual and shot a 80 on the second day to follow up his 76 on Friday to total 156 for 79th place after two rounds of action.
 
South Dakota finishes up action in Florida on Sunday with the third and final round.
