COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The South Dakota men's and women's swimming and diving teams received Scholar All-America recognition by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) for the 2020 spring semester.
For the fall term, there were a record 789 programs representing 461 institutions with the Scholar All-America honor. To be selected, a team must have a minimum 3.00 grade point average on a 4.0 scale as defined by the institution. The team grade point average includes all eligible student-athletes.
The South Dakota women have earned Scholar All-America status for the 12
th consecutive semester after receiving a 3.67 GPA. They were one of four teams from the Summit League to receive the honor. The Coyote men turned in a 3.53 GPA, making them one of five Summit League teams to earn Scholar All-America status. This is the sixth consecutive semester the men have earned accolades.

Haley Pederson was named an honorable mention scholar All-American by the CSCAA. Pederson carries a 4.0 GPA as a Business Management major.
