VERMILLION, S.D. – The South Dakota women's tennis team is picked to finish second in the Summit League behind six-time defending champion Denver according to the preseason poll announced Wednesday.
From the voting of league head coaches, the Coyotes earned 27 points in the voting done by league head coaches.
The Coyotes return six players from last season's team, a season cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Senior
Jana Lazarevic, a two-time All-Summit League selection, was named to the Players to Watch list for the spring season. Lazarevic, playing No. 1 singles, fashioned a 13-9 overall mark during the shortened 2019-20 season.
