Lucky Huber and Connor Singhisen are the guests for this week's YoteCast, the official podcast of Coyote athletics hosted by John Thayer. Huber is the Director of Track and Field and Cross Country at USD and his squads are set to host a pair of meets inside the DakotaDome these next two Saturdays. Singhisen is the Assistant Director of Intramurals and Sport Clubs and will discuss the rise of Esports at USD.

The University of South Dakota Esports team is a student-led program that provides opportunities to compete in a variety of online gaming platforms. The team was just awarded the top prize of $15,000 for winning a first-of-its-kind Twitter Marketing Competition. Singhisen talks about the club, how students can get involved and how the prize money will be reinvested into the program.

Huber and his Coyotes are set to host the USD Invitational Saturday and the Dakota Realty Invitational Jan. 23. Huber discusses how his team navigated the holidays and previews the competition for this weekend. He also talks about the squad's post-COVID meet in Brookings back in December and previews team strengths.

Thayer is in his eighth year with the Coyote Sports Network by Learfield IMG College. He moved into the play-by-play role for Coyote football and men's basketball this season after spending seven years as the voice of Coyote women's basketball and a sideline reporter for football.
