LAKEWOOD, Wash. – A final round score of 297 moved the South Dakota women's golf team up two spots on the final day to finish in sixth place at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational. Senior
Laerke Jensen recorded her first top 10 finish of the fall season placing eighth to lead USD.
Jensen improved her score by one stroke each round to record a total score of 222 (75-74-73). Jensen was one stroke from tying her season-low of 221 earlier this fall and her lowest round of the season. Not far behind was sophomore
Danica Badura in 17
th place carding scores of 74-79-72 for a total of 225. Badura tied her season-low 54-hole score of 225 and recorded a new season-low round of 72 set in the final round.
Sophomore
Akari Hayashi finished the two-day event placing 28
th with a total score of 228 (77-75-76). Hayashi set a new season-low 54-hole score of 228 besting her previous one by three strokes. Freshman
Paige Hoffman fired off a 73 in the opening round on Monday to record a new low round while recording a new 54-hole score of 230.
Rounding out the scoring for the Yotes was
Jalea Culliver placing 77
th after recording rounds of 79-82-78 for a total score of 239.
