A win on Wednesday would send South Dakota (8-4, 1-0) into the Christmas holiday on a seven-game winning streak. The Coyotes are wrapping up a three-game stretch of road games. South Dakota started off league play with a 90-59 victory over Oral Roberts, a season-best offensive performance with five Coyotes scoring in double-figures. USD also shot a season-high 58.7 percent (37-of-63) from the field.
Chloe Lamb led the way Monday with 18 points,
Grace Larkins tallied a career-high 15,
Liv Korngable added 13,
Kyah Watson tied her career-best 11 and
Maddie Krull finished with 10. Lamb and
Hannah Sjerven are fifth and sixth in the league for scoring, averaging 16 and 14.4 points per game, respectively.

The Roos
Kansas City (10-2, 0-1) had its program record 10-game winning streak snapped by South Dakota State on Monday night. The Roos kept the game within single digits and closed SDSU's lead down to two, 70-68, in the fourth quarter before falling 85-78. Kansas City owns the league's largest scoring margin this season, outscoring foes by 16.8 points per game, with the league's second-best scoring offense and defense. Naomie Alnatas and Brooklyn McDavid are the league's leading and third-leading scorers with 18.7 and 16.9 points per game, respectively. Alnatas was picked to the Summit preseason first team, while McDavid is a graduate transfer from Pacific.

South Dakota tied up the all-time series at 4-4 with two wins inside the Swinney Center last season. This will be the seventh meeting between the programs as Summit League foes, with USD leading the series 4-2 as conference opponents.
