PHOENIX, Ariz. – The South Dakota women's golf team completed its second tournament of the spring season on Tuesday. The Yotes shot 45 over-par and recorded a score of 909 after three rounds.

The short story: The Yotes completed their second tournament of the season placing seventh. After recording low 300 rounds, USD cut off 11 strokes in the final round for a final round score of 298 for their lowest round of the season thus far. Their final score of 909 is also the lowest of the season. Jensen once again led the Yotes on the leaderboard recording a score of 222 for her lowest three round score of the season.
TEE OFF
- On Tuesday, Jensen recorded a three over-par 75 score to give her a total score of 222 after three rounds. Of the 18 holes on Tuesday, Jensen recorded par or below on 14 of the 18 holes. She recorded her second round of below par this season during round one carding a one under-par.
- Freshmen Danica Badura recorded her best round yet as Coyote carding a 73 on the final round. On the back nine on Tuesday, Badura was on a roll notching par or below on each hole for a two under-par back nine. After three holes, Badura scored a 74, 79, 73 for a total score of 226 the best three round score this season for the Aurora, Nebraska, native.
- Redshirt-junior Julia Hall posted scores of 80, 76, and 76 for a total score of 232 and finished tied for 45th place. Hall recorded 14 holes of par or below in the final round. Her 232 score is 10 strokes less than the first tournament. She recorded five birdies over three rounds compared to only two in the first tournament.
- Freshman Akari Hayashi finished a few spots behind hall tied for 49th place in her second collegiate meet. Hayashi recorded rounds of 77, 78, and 79 for a total score of 234. She recorded eight birdies over the three rounds.
- Junior Emma Sabbagh finished up her first tournament of the spring season tied for 55th place after three rounds of action. Sabbagh recorded six birdies for a total score of 236 (82-80-74).

UP NEXT
South Dakota will compete next at the HBU Intercollegiate on March 15 and 16 in Houston, Texas. The Yotes were scheduled to compete in the tournament last season before the season being cancelled due to the pandemic.
