Matt Tolan has been named the Summit League Men's Golfer of the Week for his second place performance at the Stampede at the Creek meet this past weekend. This is his second honor of the season and of his career.
The Eau Claire Wisconsin, native earned his first runner-up of the season at the Stampede at the Creek meet on Monday and Tuesday in Omaha, Nebraska. Tolan carded a 4-over 220 after rounds of 73,72 and 75. The placing was his third top five placing and eighth top 10 placing. He ranked second against the field on par 4s with a 4.07 stroke average. He recorded 28 pars and 12 birdies which was the second most in three rounds at the tournament.
The Yotes will be back in action in Kansas when they compete in the Summit League Championships on May 1-3.
