Commissioner Douple, Roman Gentry the guests on YoteCast

Summit League Commissioner Tom Douple along with South Dakota alum and new men's assistant basketball coach Roman Gentry are the guests on the final YoteCast of the 2020-21 season.

Douple starts at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and reflects on the year that was within the conference including cancellations, scheduling and championships. Plus, the commissioner's stance on NIL and one-time transfers. Douple also talks about the return of fans, the addition of St. Thomas, and looking ahead to next season.

Gentry competed under coach Dave Boots for USD from 2008-10. That followed a prep career in his hometown of Sioux City, Iowa, and a collegiate start at UW-Milwaukee. In this episode, Gentry reflects on his time as a player, why he got into coaching, and how he has grown in the profession. He also talks about what attracted him back to USD and his goals for the program.

But we start as we always do with athletic director David Herbster. He talks track and field, football schedules and the return of summer camps. Herbster also talks full attendance in the fall, season ticket sales, and reflects a bit on 2020-21.
